Conditions suited for telehealth podiatry
Telehealth podiatry isn’t suited for all conditions. But you may be surprised just how many conditions we can help with.
General foot pain
Imaging requests
Foot deformities
General advice
Ankle sprains
Footwear recommendations
Gait analysis
Wound assessments
Toenail Assessment
Skin conditions
If during your telehealth consultation, your podiatrist determines you need a hands-on assessment or physical manipulation, they will recommend scheduling an in-clinic appointment with us, or at a podiatrist near you.
What conditions are not suited to podiatry telehealth?
Not all foot conditions can be attended to through a podiatry telehealth consultation. These include:
- Situations requiring a physical examination (e.g palpation for abnormalities, testing reflexes, range of motion)
- Any condition needing surigical intervention, such as ingrown toenail treatment and surgery
- Treatments involving physical removal of skin and lesions, such as corn and callus removal
- Prescription and final fittings of custom-made orthotics
If you need treatment for any of the above conditions, please make a booking to come into our clinic, or see a podiatrist near you.
