If you’re a student podiatrist wanting to travel the world, give our Sydney podiatry clinic a try. Sydney is a wonderful welcoming place for travellers, and a great base for exploring the rest of Australia. Our clinics in Sydenham and Alexandria are located close to the Sydney CBD, Bondi Beach and many other attractions.
Our student placements program
We are a friendly, small clinic with two practices. We provide hands-on training and support in using the latest technologies and treatments for a variety of foot conditions. Each student works one-on-one with an experienced podiatrist, including:
- seeing patients of all ages
- assessing and treating foot injuries
- treating common foot conditions
- conducting surgery on nails, warts and calluses
- learning ski boot fitting and modification
- fitting orthotics
Often students come with plenty of medical knowledge, but limited experience in day-to-day practice operations. So we focus on helping students deal with patients in a caring, empathetic and professional manner. We aim to build your confidence in working with patients, identifying solutions and delivering exemplary foot care.
You will be looking at feet all day
The transition from university to clinic can be daunting. It is a very different environment, which takes some adjustment. Some students begin to question their career path, whereas others relish every moment. Even if you decide that podiatry is not for you, we aim to help you get clearer on your future career path.
